Michelle Cho Bio
Michelle is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Gladeo. Since 2005, Michelle has been a mentor and volunteered her time conducting college planning seminars for schools and community-based non-profits. While she was volunteering, she saw a huge gap between school and career especially for students who lived in low income neighborhoods or who were the first in their family to go to college. She started Gladeo in 2015 to bridge that gap and since then, Gladeo's online resources and workshops have helped thousands of students, teachers and counselors learn about the diverse array of careers and industries through their videos, interactive website, infographics and social media.
Michelle Cho is an award-winning film producer who co-produced the film "Au Revoir Taipei" which won the NetPac Award at the Berlin Film Festival. Since then she has also worked in film development and financing. She was also Director of Operations for a LA-based commercial real estate company. Michelle graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Economics.
Michelle is a 2019 Aspen Ideas Festival Scholar, a 2018 National League of Cities Local Hero Award recipient, a 2018 Gratitude Award recipient, a 2018 Ashoka/American Express Emerging Innovator, and 2017 Award Winner at Social Venture Partner LA’s Social Innovation Fast Pitch.
