How Gladeo aligns to Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP)

In January, 2024, LEAs can apply for Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) planning and implementation grants as well as consortium grants from the California Department of Education.

The Golden State Pathways Program (GSPP) provides funding to seamlessly link kindergarten through grade 12 (K–12) education, postsecondary education, and careers in high-wage, high-skill, high-growth industry sectors. The program encourages collaboration between local educational agencies (LEAs), institutions of higher education, local and regional employers, and other relevant community interest holders to develop, or expand the availability of, innovative college and career pathways that simultaneously align with an LEA’s local or regional labor market needs.

One aspect of Gladeo that makes us unique and aligned with GSPP is that we are regionally specific and we facilitate collaboration by connecting the entire workforce ecosystem. We streamline the collaborative process by bringing the key stakeholders together on a single, user-friendly career navigation platform that reflects a region’s labor market data, trends, in-demand industries, careers, employers, and educational/training programs, and social services. Our regional program finder which includes information on local Institutes of Higher Education offers an integrated approach to regional employer and community partner engagement.

Gladeo’s career navigation platform can support one of the key components of high-quality career pathways as outlined in the GSPP Framework which is a regional ecosystem. In addition, Gladeo’s K12 FutureReady classroom-based virtual curriculum is integrated with the regional career navigation platform to help learners become career ready and connected to the overall workforce ecosystem. Gladeo’s regional tailored approach to education and workforce development helps learners find educational and training programs related to their career goals and personalized career and industry matches. Learners can search programs by career, industry, location, program type, cost, CTE sector and pathway, and more. Gladeo’s career navigation platform and K12 FutureReady program can help achieve the GSPP goal to enable more learners to access postsecondary education and workforce training opportunities, and obtain gainful employment in an industry that simultaneously aligns with local, regional, or state labor market needs.
