SCHOOL COUNSELORS ADVISORY COUNCIL

 

NANCY JARMAN-DUNN Ph.D., P.P.S. 
Nancy is an adjunct professor in the Educational Counseling program at the University of LaVerne. She was also the past President of the California Association of School Counselor’s (CASC) and past recipient of the CASC School Counselor of the Year award. She was a middle school counselor for 28 years and is a firm believer in the power of comprehensive school counseling programs. She spearheaded the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) in her school, which was the first middle school in the nation to receive the RAMP recognition from the American School Counselor Association (ASCA). With her school counselor partners, they followed that up by earning a total of four RAMPs and the California School Board Association’s Golden Bell Award. Nancy currently is an ASCA Lead Ramp Reviewer and frequent presenter at state and national conferences. Nancy uses her skills and knowledge as she trains school counselors on comprehensive school counseling programs and RAMP through Jarman-Dunn Consulting. 

 

LISA ANDREWS MSW M.A. M.Ed 
Lisa is a Adjunct Faculty at University of La Verne's Education Counseling department and School Counselor at Pomona Unified School District and  whose practice is predicated on counseling leadership and student advocacy.  The goals of equity, access and opportunity are inherent to her practice and legacy of working with underrepresented youth within the community of Pomona, CA since March of 2000. Collectively her educational experience has contributed to a dynamic professional history that includes the development and implementation of educational programs that target the social emotional development and educational advancement of disenfranchised students within the non-public and public school setting. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communicative Disorders from University of Redlands, a Masters of Social Work from University of Southern California, Masters in Educational Leadership from Concordia University, and Master of Arts from University of La Verne in School Counseling. She is a music enthusiast, avid football and tennis fan, and has a love for all things USC and Trojan related!
